The Most Magnificent Landscape :: Torres del Paine, Patagonia

I’ve known about Torres del Paine for a long time.  I’d heard about it’s beautiful mountains, blue water, still lakes and stunning glaciers.  I knew about it’s special location: the southern tip of the world.  I’d seen hundreds of photos splashed across social media, blogs and travel websites.  I knew I was going somewhere special but I didn’t realise just quite how beautiful, impressive and unforgettable it would be until we set foot in the park and I can safely say, that I just can’t quite imagine how I will ever see landscape this beautiful again.

I have toyed with how to share this beautiful place on my blog, and I decided to just let the photos show you the beauty of it all as they do that just perfectly.  I’ve chosen my favourite fifteen photos that capture the beauty of the park to share with you.

Torres del Paine is a national park in Southern Patagonia, Chile.  And this is how beautiful it is…DSC09254DSC09378DSC09357DSC09295DSC09168DSC09241DSC09232DSC09218DSC09228DSC09233DSC09220DSC09207DSC09319DSC09170DSC09222

Next week I’ll be showing you the amazing and varied wildlife that we spotted in the park 🙂

Which landscapes will stay in your mind forever?

  1. Every time I see beautiful pictures of Torres del Paine, like yours, I just want to go! I was in El Chalten last summer and I would love to visit Torres in the Fall… any tips?

    • How lovely – El Chalten is beautiful! My tip would be to prepare for all weather as we really lucked out with those pure blue skies, you never know what is around the corner. I can imagine the Autumn colours would be stunning actually 🙂

  2. This place is sooo breathtakingly pretty. I love how the snowy mountains look. And I also spot a bit of turquoise lake! Was it super cold there? I can’t wait to see the wildlife photos…. those are always my favorite part of a nature trip!

  3. Seriously, those pictures just speak for themselves! It’s just so beautiful! I’m so glad that you finally got a trip there, and I hope that you get to go back again soon!

  4. Gosh what incredible scenery! These mountains are spectacular – and that’s only seeing the photos. I bet they were even more incredible seeing them in person. Chile really does look quite amazing, I want to go skiing there in winter one season. #wanderfulwednesday

  5. Oh, these photos are incredible! I want to see more photos of your trip. For me, the landscapes of Yosemite and the Valleys of Oaxaca are unforgettable. #WanderfulWednesday

  6. Every single one of these photos belong in a magazine. So beautiful! Brings me right back! So weird, while I was reading this post, my friend walked in with a snack that always makes me think of the W (because I brought one for everyday) and it was like a whole sensory throw back haha
