The Beauty of Looking Down

While there is so much beauty in looking up… Don’t forget to look down too, as there is more than you know, beneath those feet of yours.

  1. Ah I think this is fantastic! I am always looking up but I’m probably guilty of not looking down too much. I think I need to change that!

  2. View (and photos) from unusual angles are definitenly the best – I love that one through the hole in Cambodia, a little terrifying! And the drying fish has a mesmerising pattern #wanderfulwednesday

  3. You always have the most beautiful pictures! We definitely need to remember that beauty is all around us, and take a second to look down or up or all around us so we don’t miss out!

  4. What a fun roundup of photos! When I studied in Italy we always joked that we were always looking down – to avoid stepping in dog poop which seemed to be everywhere. My friends and I always joked that we bet Italy was pretty, if we had looked up.

  5. What a cool perspective! The ‘looking down’ photos I take are mostly of manholes. Some countries like Japan have pretty quirky manholes! I love checking them out. #WanderfulWednesday

  6. a few months ago i discovered the instagram account #ihavethisthingwithfloors. I’ve been slightly obsessed with feet pictures ever since then! there are so many little details i pay closer attention to now that travel writing and photography is part of my career. I’m always looking for that unique shot and that really keeps me on my toes and makes me aware of so many little details i would have passed by.

    • I love that Insta account! I love all of the #ihavethisthingwith accounts – floors, doors, walls! They are all so pretty and inspiring!
I totally agree that photography and blogging always makes you look closer and take more notice of the details 🙂

  7. I look down a lot, partly because I’m so clumsy that I have to or I end up tripping over everything. I love these photos, you’ve seen some great things on your travels (and hopefully not fallen over any of them). Here’s to more shoefies 🙂
