Beautiful perspective, Marcella! 🙂 xoxo, nano | http://www.travelwithnanob.com
Thanks Nano 🙂
You have some gorgeous photos here! I especially like the one from Prague.
Thank you! It was fun to try and find so many ‘looking down’ shots 🙂
Thank you so much Marcella for mentioning my Skomer Island post! I love your perspective in these pictures, it’s a great piece. The Rio beach pic is spectacular.
Thank you! It was really fun to see that busy Rio beach from the peace of above!
What a cool theme for a photo series! That road in South America is CRAZY! Can’t imagine driving on it.
Thank you! Ha, me neither – luckily I was on a bus and didn’t have to do the driving!
Ah I think this is fantastic! I am always looking up but I’m probably guilty of not looking down too much. I think I need to change that!
Thanks Kerri! I also look up way more, I think there is generally more to see when looking up, apart from when you are at a height 🙂
That’s a great compilation of pictures… such a unique idea and a cool perspective. The fish drying looks like flowers to me 🙂 #wanderfulwednesday
Thanks Lillian! I couldn’t believe how many fish were drying there, the picture only shows a small amount of them!
Wow that border road is quite scary but so impressive!! We have roads like that in Norway too and they really offer the best picture opportunities 😉
It’s pretty intense, it takes a good while to drive down it!
View (and photos) from unusual angles are definitenly the best – I love that one through the hole in Cambodia, a little terrifying! And the drying fish has a mesmerising pattern #wanderfulwednesday
Thank you so much! 🙂 The fish in cambodia was a pretty crazy find!
You always have the most beautiful pictures! We definitely need to remember that beauty is all around us, and take a second to look down or up or all around us so we don’t miss out!
Thanks so much, Ashley! Looking around us always brings great things 🙂
This is a beautiful post! My favorite thing looking down has to be the sand between my toes.
Thank you!! Ohh, that’s a great feeling 🙂
Love your photos of the curving road at the border of Argentina and Chile and the amazing view from the top of Carnedd Dafyd!
Thank you! That view from Carnedd Dafyd was one of my very, very favourites 🙂
What a fun roundup of photos! When I studied in Italy we always joked that we were always looking down – to avoid stepping in dog poop which seemed to be everywhere. My friends and I always joked that we bet Italy was pretty, if we had looked up.
Haha, it’s true that sometimes it’s necessary to look down for things that aren’t so picturesque 😉
Glad you enjoyed the photos!
great photos!
Thanks Tanja! 🙂
Such a great post idea, I’m partial to a foot selfie myself! 🙂
Maya Not Mya
Thank you, Maya! Everything is great about a foot selfie 😉
What a cool perspective! The ‘looking down’ photos I take are mostly of manholes. Some countries like Japan have pretty quirky manholes! I love checking them out. #WanderfulWednesday
Thank you!! Ohhh, love that idea – it’s like finding art in the most unusual places!
What a great idea for your pictures – yes, we tend to look down but we don’t really register what we see, normally. You’re feet have been all over! 😉 #WanderfulWednesday
Thank you! You’re so right, so many images go through our eyes everyday, I think we just have to remind our eyes to register it all 🙂
a few months ago i discovered the instagram account #ihavethisthingwithfloors. I’ve been slightly obsessed with feet pictures ever since then! there are so many little details i pay closer attention to now that travel writing and photography is part of my career. I’m always looking for that unique shot and that really keeps me on my toes and makes me aware of so many little details i would have passed by.
I love that Insta account! I love all of the #ihavethisthingwith accounts – floors, doors, walls! They are all so pretty and inspiring!
I totally agree that photography and blogging always makes you look closer and take more notice of the details 🙂
I look down a lot, partly because I’m so clumsy that I have to or I end up tripping over everything. I love these photos, you’ve seen some great things on your travels (and hopefully not fallen over any of them). Here’s to more shoefies 🙂
Haha, believe me, I know what you mean. Especially in places with less than smooth pavements – cobbles etc! Yay for photographing your feet, allll the time 😉
Gorgeous shots! I especially love the views from on high and the couple in Sky Garden. And the feet shots, of course! 😉
Thank you! 🙂 I actually thought of you when I realised about all of the feet shots, tehe!
So nice to see a pic of Battambang, we will be there in a few days!!
You’ll love it! It’s such an amazing place; beautiful and also feels very calm 🙂
