This morning, we set off into the sun in search of abandoned buildings, murals and anything that wasn’t green! Why? Because our wedding venue is all about the green! We are getting married in Carlos’ sister’s and brother-in-law’s garden as they own a plot of land, so our photographers asked us to find some non-green backdrops locally for some non-green photos. We set off and found some beautiful houses, abandoned houses and amazing street art, so we are all sorted.
Towards the end of our two hour cycle we turned a tiny corner and spied some horses in the background. Their coats so glossy and they are lucky enough to live in the most beautiful surroundings. We cycled a little closer and watched as they slowly wandered down to the river for a refreshing drink, after all it was an extremely hot day! It was the perfect end to our cycle as there is nothing better than finding something unexpected, especially horses this beautiful! In this photo, you can see The Andes mountains in the background with a dusting of snow… aren’t they stunning?!
Which unexpected beauties have you found recently?
Have a lovely weekend, everyone! 🙂

Ahh what a beautiful spot! x
It was so beautiful, and just us there! A very peaceful Friday 🙂
Stunning – what a picturesque spot to graze!
Indeed! I wonder if they think the same 😉
Lovely horses!
They were so beautiful!!
What a romantic place for a photoshoot. Chile looks amazing!!! I just watched The 33, though I will like to your opinion on the matter, I have to agree it is a beautiful film and Chile’s nature and heart warming people are captured at its best.
It is really pretty!! 🙂
Great! I haven’t watched it yet, oops!! I really need to as I think it’d be really interesting to watch. I’m really glad to hear that it captures the spirit of Chileans 😀
How lovely! And you’re getting married in Chile. Perfecto! What region are you in? South of santiago, maybe. Still looks green.
Where is your honeymoon going to be? Chiloe, i hope!
Thank you! These photos were taken just outside of Santiago in Peñaflor 🙂 We are hoping to honeymoon in Costa Rica!
Gorgeous!! I LOVE the photos with the horses and the green hills in the background. I can see that being such a gorgeous background for wedding photos!
Thank you Anna! We aren’t actually using this spot for wedding photos as we will have so many green ones at our wedding venue! We found some really cool murals and gorgeous houses for some other shots 🙂
Non-green seems impossible but wow what gorgeous backdrop! I’m sure it’ll be amazing! 🙂
We did find some great murals and houses which aren’t green, but our wedding venue is a garden so it’s all about the green! Thank you 🙂
