After an incredibly rainy August, September was filled with much milder sunny days. And, those days have spread into October so far too. Knowing that I’ll soon be in Chilean Spring and skipping winter, I headed out this weekend with my camera to capture the sights of Autumn at their very best. The sun was shining and I only needed a t-shirt as we lay on the grass. The bright colours of the leaves and berries were made brighter by a blue cloudless sky and the beams of sun hit in all the right places. When I think of Autumn, I think of oranges and reds, the changes in the leaves and crisp mornings. Here is what I found…
The colours of Autumn are so beautiful, especially on such a sunny day. Soon, I’ll be flying into the season of Spring where the flowers will be blooming and the days getting longer, so I took today as a day to be in the moment of Autumn.

beautiful colors! We don’t get to see much of autumn here in Athens…I have to travel up in the mountains to get a real glimpse of fall foliage! Last year in Boston though the colors were amazing!! Moving to Chile means you’re going to escape winter this year!!
Sounds so nice – mountains and autumn colours, swoon! Yes, I’m so happy that I get two summers in a year, although the Chilean summer will be much more summer like than the English one 😉
Such gorgeous colors! We don’t get true fall in Brisbane, I’m jealous. Now it’s spring which is basically summer so gone is any sign of pleasant weather.
I feel like that about spring in Chile – the spring feels like summer to me because I’m used to colder England! Hope you enjoy your spring/summer 🙂
Soon here in Ohio the leaves will be turning gorgeous colors!

September was so lovely and because of our lack of summer it felt as if it was the beginning of the summer haha but to no avail! Thankfully I love autumn and the colours have started changing and it’s so pretty!!
Yeah me too, I kept thinking that it felt like lovely spring days, so in a weird way England has prepared me for Chilean spring!! Autumn colours are lovely, as long as there isn’t too much rain 😉

Beautiful! I love Autumn- the colors, the foods, the Halloween. Unfortunately, we don’t get much of an Autumn where I am, but I try to decorate in Fall colors a bit to keep in the spirit. That’s wild that you’re going to completely miss winter this year with your move! I don’t know how I’d feel about that, having been in a hot, humid climate for so long, but I know a lot of people who would love that.
Autumn colours are just lovely! I am really excited to have a proper summer, as English summer this year was pretty non-existent! I can imagine if you are in a humid climate, winter must be really nice though!

I love these beautiful Fall colors! Here in the Arizona desert we don’t see them as much, so I love visiting family in places like Virginia and New York! Great photos, thanks for sharing!

The colors of spring are so beautiful!!! Last week I was in spring in Buenos Aires but it looked like winter, a bit cold and rainy. Now I’m in autumn in Barcelona and it seems spring, quite sunny and warm. I travel and I lose the sense of month and seasons…
