When I published my post on The Colours of India, I asked you to tell me about the countries that you think of as being the most colourful, and I loved reading all the answers. A couple of you mentioned Brazil so today I am sharing some of my colourful Brazil images.
Brazil was the country where I started and ended my five month South America trip. I started at the biggest party in the world; carnival. There probably isn’t a time when a place can be anymore colourful than during carnival. The costumes, the decorations, the flags, the posters… everything is vibrant, bright and oh so exciting! After carnival I spent time in some other parts of Brazil and despite it not being carnival, the colours were still evident everywhere.
When I think of colour in Brazil…
I think of the vibrant colours during a football game in Porto Alegre
I think of the lush colours of untouched nature
I think of colourfully clothed tourists admiring the view over Rio
I think of colourful umbrellas on the beach
I think of fresh, colourful fruit
And of course, I think of carnival.
What do you think of when you think of Brazil?

I always love seeing photos from all the places you’ve been! I’ve never been to Brazil but would love to go someday, especially to Carnival!! I love the pic of the green cliffs against the blue water! x
Thanks so much Anna. You would love Carnival. It’s so amazing! The cliff picture was from the most amazing walk in Florianopolois, it was incredibly beautiful!
Your pics are wonderful and make your blog name worthy! I haven’t been but the carnival sure would add a lot of excitement and colour to an already festive kind of atmosphere I imagine.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment 🙂 Carnival atmosphere was just wonderful and something I will never forget!
