Baked Falafel

Falafel is so delicious!  We’ve fried falafel before but the smell lingers for days so it time to give baked falafel a go, and we’re never going back.  It’s quicker, easier and healthier.

All of the ingredients go in the blender.  Chick peas, onion, garlic, coriander, coriander, cumin, chilli powder, salt and pepper. DSC01669DSC01678DSC01676DSC01675

Then create your falafel patties or balls using your hands.  We went for patties.  Pop them in the oven and turn them over after ten minutes.DSC01682 DSC01684 DSC01686DSC01689

Serve with a yogurt and cucumber sauce, unless you’re vegan, and some lettuce.  They are typically served in pitta bread but we had them in a wrap.DSC01692 DSC01691 DSC01694 DSC01695 DSC01696
