While on my travels in South America I was lucky enough to see two of the world’s greatest sites for waterfalls.
Iguazu Falls in Brazil and Argentina.
Angel Falls in Venezuela; the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall.
First up was Iguazu falls. You can spend two days there; one day on the Brazilian side and one day on the Argentinian side. I found that the Brazilian side is better for seeing panoramics of the waterfalls and the Argentinian side is better for feeling more ‘close up’ and there is more of a trail feeling as you walk through to see these waterfalls. When I was travelling, lots of people asked me which was the better side to visit but I couldn’t decide; they are so different and beautiful in different ways. I came back with a crazy amount of pictures as I tried to capture so many different angels.
The Brazilian side. It was a rainy day, as you can see from the cloud filled sky, and that combined with all the splash from the falls was why my camera didn’t last much longer after this.
The Argentina side. Brighter photos as it was a beautifully, sunny day.
Have you visited Iguazu Falls? Check back later this week for a post on Angel Falls in Venezuela. Have you visited any other waterfalls in South America that you could tell us about?
Have a great week!
