It has been a year since I’ve come back to France and I have been very lucky to receive in Marseille my friends, my guests from all over! Each time is a new adventure, another exciting journey! We usually stay at my grand-mother’s who always makes the Frenchiest meals! Even if her “quiche and apple pie” were renamed “pizza” by my American friend….
So today, I would like to share my day in Marseille spent with my friend Filip from Paris (although, he is Romanian and also suspected to have some Malian origins…). We had a blast! We had to improvise a lot, because the weather was a bit lunatic!
10:00 am: Starting the day in the car, with music dancing and making videos!
10:20 am: Wandering in the centre, around the old harbour, with a view on the “Bonne Mère”, the up hill Mother Basilique, which protects our brave sailors.
11:00 am: Heading to the old part of the town “Le panier”.
11:10 am: Exploring “La Vieille Charité”, the old hospice renovated by Le Corbusier and converted into a museum/ library.
12:00 am: Perfect for a break and a refreshing drink!
12:30 am: Quick stroll on the harbour, famous Fish market place!
1:15 pm: Would you look at that Delish’ Couscous!
2:30 pm: Time for the digestive walk…
2:50 pm: Meeting with our friend Joanna for more fun at the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilization (http://www.mucem.org/en).
6:30 pm: Ride to the sea, for a hot drink, looking at the sunset!
Thank you Filip and Jo
